Made by Nature

Ink and plant material stains on kitchen towel.

uses plants from my allotment to make images and objects.

Connecting with the ecology of my allotment , connect me with cycles larger as each species flowers, goes to seed and dies back, embodying the shifting timescale of a lifespan.

Known around the site as "he secret garden",my allotment is a wild place hidden from view by hazel, field maple, beech and hawthorn hedges.  Sanctuary not only for me, but also for the plants, insects and wildlife in the city.

Careful focus on the wild plant life to diversify planting, not letting any one species dominate, helps me to test how and when to collect seeds.  They'll be made into seed balls with clay dug from the plot to feed the wild city.
