Down to Earth was part of 'Lapworth Lates', an evening arts event at Lapworth Museum of Geology with films, talks and workshops.

Visitors were invited to make earth pigments into watercolours and use them with a range of botanical inks to paint a panel for a myriorama (aka 'endless landscapes' a Victorian optical game of connecting cards that can be arranged in any order).

The workshop was in the mineral gallery which framed conversations about how we connect and work with the earth at a time of climate breakdown, biodiversity and habitat loss.

Participants ranged in ages and interests, some regular visitors to the museum and others visiting for the first time.
